Behind the scenes of Pure Trek Costa Rica. Our Mission, our team, our headquarter. Get to explore it all.
Our mission is simple: We believe in focusing on one thing and being the best at it! Every day we thrive to make sure every single person who signs up for our adventures will enjoy the best canyoning experience in the world. Whether you are a first-timer, or you are back for your 5th time repeating the tour, we are committed to you. From the moment you arrive to the moment you leave, all your adventure goals will be met. Our mission is you!
Pure Trek’s Treehouse Base Camp is located just outside of La Fortuna, Costa Rica, nestled into lush, tropical vegetation and beautiful flora of our gardens. Here you will meet out our administative team who will assist you with any travel advice or your picture purchases from your canyoning adventure. We also have a Rancho for you to enjoy a typical Costa Rican lunch and a refreshing fresh juice. Rain or shine, the Rancho is a great place to relax and unwind. Showers, changing rooms, and lockers are provided for you to freshen up after your rappelling adventure.
The Pure Trek’s Treehouse Base Camp is nestled into our lush, tropical gardens. We maintain our beautiful gardens that are filled with exotic plants at every turn and are home to many animals, from honey bees to rescued kitties to native birds. Meandering pathways throughout will lead you around our peaceful property that we like to call home.
Cynthia arrived in Costa Rica about 26 years ago from San Francisco, California. She is passionate about her family (both her Pure Trek family and her immediate family), her friends, waterfall rappelling, rock climbing, yoga, her animals, and her community.
She is devoted to giving back to this beautiful country as much as she possibly can. She is grateful beyond words to these wonderful Costa Rican people that have taken her in as one of their own. She built Pure Trek in 2001 with the idea of transforming the extreme sport of canyoning/canyoneering (or waterfall rappelling as we call it), into a tour that could bring families, athletes, climbers, beginners, and people that just want to challenge themselves to a place that no one would normally ever have the chance to see: into a canyon in the middle of the rainforest right under the Arenal Volcano in Costa Rica. She has realized her dream, with the help of team Pure Trek, and is committed to keeping her company on track with her vision for many years to come.
